This year was the first year since we've been married that we weren't in Tahoe for the 4th of July. We went up the weekend after the 4th which was nice because we beat all the crowds and had a nice quiet visit with family. We decided to start the day off by going to the Danville parade. We met our friends the Payne's there and sat together for it. We brought lots of snacks and drinks the kids don't normally have and they were in heaven. The whole parade was very entertaining except that we had told the kids there would be candy and there wasn't :( but they survived! To make up for the lack of candy we stopped by 7-Eleven for Slurpees. After that we stopped for lunch at home and went furniture shopping for new living room furniture. Overall the day was great and we had a wonderful time together as a family!
