Camping with the Ball Family

We went camping with the Ball family and it was such a blast.  They are adventurous and experienced campers so we learned a lot from them!  We went for walks with the kids, let them swim in the lake and ate delicious food.  The kids had so much fun playing and exploring and being together.  It was a great time and we would love to do it again! We went to Folsom lake.  A few memorable things that happened was Maddie wouldn't fall asleep until about 11:00pm the first night. She was just on a mattress, so no crib and she kept standing up next to the bed and shaking her kids and saying "no no no" as she waved her finger.  If we told her to stop she would scream.  Finally she gave up but oh what a fight she gave!!  Mason was up super early and loved to wake us all up so we spend one of the mornings walking down to lake so that we wouldn't wake up the Ball's.  All in all it was a really fun adventure.  

Anniversary Getaway to Yosemite

April was an eventful month!!  Terrill and I went away for 3 days to Yosemite.  It was soon much fun!! We stayed in a tiny little cabin that was leaning on one side, but it was perfect.  We hiked and hiked and hiked.  The first day we got there we did meadow hike and hiked up a ridge.  On the second day we did Upper Yosemite falls and the third day we did Vernal falls and Nevada falls.  The weekend we were there it got REALLY cold and rained one afternoon.  So the last days hike was so freezing, I would say it was only kind of enjoyable ;)  I was also 6 weeks pregnant, so I had some very minor discomforts associated with that as well.  The views were amazing and the falls were so full.  It was so nice to have time to just talk and be with one another.  Yosemite is such a magical place and I can't wait until our kids a little older and we can bring them too!

Strawberry Picking in April

All I can say was this was so much fun!! My kids gorged on strawberries the whole time and had a blast.  

Easter Week

For the week of Easter my mom and sister were in town.  It was a lot of fun!! My kids always love having my mom here and then to have their cousins here too!! We did an Easter egg hunt, got together with my Grandma and Aunt Krista and went out on a double date with my sister and Jason.  All in all it was a great time!!
