Madison's Visitors
The first 6 weeks of Madison's life have been so busy and wonderful. We have had a ton of visitors. My mom came for 6 days about a week after she was born. Terrill's whole family came to the hospital to visit. My sister came when she was 2 weeks old for a weekend. My brother was here all last week. Her great grandmother and great aunts all came to visit as well! Plus we have had friends come to see her and countless dinners and gifts. Everyone has given us so much service while they have stayed at our house. Anything from making meals, doing laundry and letting me sleep! My heart it so full. We have felt so loved during this whole time and so well taken care of. We are grateful to the Lord for the many blessings that have been given to us during this time!

Father's Day 2014
What can I say, I am one lucky girl. I am married to Terrill!! He is such an amazing father and now that we have two kids, he has filled the role of father so naturally. I remember how nervous he was before Mason was born 3 years ago. He wasn't sure he was ready to become a father, yet the minute Mason was born he did such an incredible job. I always knew he would be an amazing dad!! Here are some reasons why I think Terrill is wonderful father: He.... loves both kiddos unconditionally, is consistent with disciplining, plays with Mason for hours and seems to love it, encourages good behavior, smiles when he gets woken up by Mason (that's true love), is always willing to help me wether it be holding Madison or helping with dinner or changing a diaper - he is just on top of it and is a worthy priesthood holder who sets an excellent example to our family. We love you Terrill/Daddy!!!
We also celebrated father's day at the Wolf's the night before and then with my Grandparents on Father's day. At the Wolf's we had a delicious dinner and swam. It was a blast. Rudy is such an amazing father to Terrill and they have a wonderful relationship that I really admire. I know Terrill really values all the time spent with his father and always loves hearing his advice about work, family and finances. We are so grateful for you Rudy and for the wonderful Grandfather you are to our children too! We love you!
On Sunday my grandparents came over and we had a BBQ and enjoyed each other's company. We always love when they come up and spend time with us!

Madison's Birth
DISCLAIMER: This is a birth story, so I hopefully left out anything that was too graphic but since I just had a baby, I am completely uncensored lately.
Madison is here!! In my last post I was hoping this would be the next and I was right! Yay! Labor started late on Tuesday evening (June 3rd). We had been over to Tiffany's house for a couple hours in the afternoon. Then we came home and made some pizza for dinner. After dinner we did the normal bedtime routine and got Mason off to bed. At 8:00, my friend Vindie came over and we walked for an hour hoping to get something going. Oh I forgot to mention that earlier that day I had an OB apt at 9:00am. She checked me, I was at a 3.5 and 70% effaced. She also striped my membranes. So after our walk I got ready for bed and felt like having some sour cream and onion potato chips (sick I know). I grabbed a small bowl, started munching on them and Terrill and I started watching Sherlock Holmes. We turned the show off and at 10:40 I had my first contraction. From that moment until Madison was born, I had regular contractions. For the first 4.5 hours, they were from every 5-10 minutes. They were so consistent that I decided to call my doctor. By 3:00 we were in the hospital. Laurie came over and watched Mason immediately. Unfortunately when they checked me when I came in, I was still at a 3.5 and 70% effaced. Needless to say I was so discouraged. I thought how is this possible when I am having regular painful contractions!!! We waited an hour at the hospital and Terrill and I decided that if nothing was progressing within the hour, we were going to go home and labor there. Or should I say Terrill would sleep while I labored! Lol. Nothing had changed and by 4:40 we were back at home again. I went straight to bed and let Terrill know I was down for the count in the morning as far as helping with Mason. These contractions were taking it out of me and I hadn't slept one wink the whole night!
As I laid in bed they continued to get harder and closer together, but only gradually. I would have a few really intense ones and then a few that weren't that bad. I managed to eat a handful of grapes because I was so starved and low on energy. By 7:30am they were starting to really get bad. I told Terrill it was time to go back to the hospital. It was really discouraging leaving the hospital the first time, but when I left I knew I would be back that day because my contractions weren't going away so that was keeping me going. Terrill's mom came back for the second time (poor women!) and we were off again, this time to have a baby girl! We arrived at the hospital around 8:30. They checked me in again and I told them I wanted an epidural. They said my doc was hoping I could wait a little longer, yet I still got the process started for getting it so that when I wanted to go through with it, everything would be ready! At 10:00 I got my epidural. The doctor had come in around 9:00 in the morning and I told her I wanted her to break my water so that things would progress more quickly. She mentioned she would only be back between 12:30 - 1:30 during her lunch break so I would have to wait until then. That was discouraging. After they administered the epidural it got a lot better and too my surprise at 10:30, my doctor was back! She had to com back for a delivery she wasn't planning on. I was so grateful!! She broke my water and I was at a 5 at 10:00. After that contractions were more frequent, even though I couldn't feel it...AMAZING. I have to mention that this epidural was so much better than with Mason. I could feel my feet and ankles and I could feel the pressure of when I needed to push which made all the difference for me. By 12:00pm I was dilated to a 10 and had no cervix. I could feel immense pressure and I really wanted to start pushing. My doctor wasn't there yet but they called her and by 12:35 she was there. She checked me and at 12:40 I started to push. At 12:44 Madison Ann Wolf was born. She was 8lbs 4ozs and 21 inches. Oh what joy! One funny thing was my doctor all along was telling me that I was measuring a few weeks behind and was pretty small. She also told me that the baby was probably 6lbs ish. When she pulled Madison out, she immediately said, she is HUGE! My tools were definitely wrong. I thought that was funny. The nurses also mentioned that she was pretty big too. I am just so grateful she was a healthy baby!!
Madison had the cord wrapped around her neck a couple of times so I didn't get to hold her as soon as I would have liked and Terrill didn't get to cut the cord, but she was fine. They gave her oxygen and she cried a ton. They weighed her and wiped her off and then handed her to me. It was such an amazing feeling to be holding my baby girl who seconds before was inside of me.
The overall delivery was so much better than Mason's. I was able to feel my legs just 2 hours after the birth and was able to get up and walk around. I felt so good. I was also starving and eating just felt amazing as well! We left the hospital a day early and recovery has really been so good.
She is 5 days old now and is such a joy. She is a great sleeper and a good eater for the most part. She only really cries when we change her diaper and when she is hungry. Both good reasons to be upset in my mind! We love our little Madison Ann.

This is the outfit we took her home in. The bow was so tight on her head that we only had it on for the pictures!

My Pregnancy
I am really hoping my next post is of Baby Madison's birth. Today is my due date with her and I wanted to take a minute to document the pregnancy. It really has been an awesome pregnancy with no complications. For the most part, I have had energy and very minimal discomfort. I have gained less weight than I did with Masons and I feel a little smaller too. I was very nauseous in the first trimester but it was manageable. I have continued to run/walk throughout the whole pregnancy including this morning! Just if the past week or so have I started to really feel uncomfortable and it is really only bad at night when I am trying to go to sleep and she is kicking me so hard. I am so grateful for my healthy body and also that baby has been healthy too. What a blessing! I also hope that she comes REALLY soon. We are ready. The nursery is complete, our bags are packed (except Terrill's) and our house is clean. So I am going for a long walk tonight and I am going to have my doctor shake things up a bit at my appointment tomorrow! I feel like having a baby is such a sacred time when a new spirit enters the family. I know Mason is excited too. We can't wait for your arrival baby Madison!!
A few days ago my mom sent me this email: "I wanted to tell you that last night when I was saying my prayers, I had the thought that Dad is in the spirit world right now spending special time with his sweet little Maddie telling her all about her Mama. Dad was always so proud of you kids and I think he's rejoicing over being able to tell Maddie all about you.... we know from my blessing that Jay gave me the day Dad died that he will be teaching and preparing the grandchildren to come to earth."
I know that my dad is helping her get ready to come to earth and thinking of this brings me comfort and of course since I am pregnant I cried and cried when I read this!

Mason 2 1/2 Years Old!
So with the babies due date one week away, I really need to update our blog with information about Mason! He is really such a joy to be around and I LOVE being his mommy. I wanted to get a few pictures of him at the park today, but honestly he wont ever look at me when I try to take a picture of him. So pretty much none of these involve him looking into the camera. Oh-well.
Fun things about him:
- He has gone from calling us Mommy and Daddy to Mom and Dad
- He loves jumping, running and doing somersaults
- When I ask him if he likes something he will say, "I do mom, I really do"
- He can count to 20 and loves counting his toys
- He can play with trucks for hours - by himself
- He loves books and likes to read 'all by himself'
- When he tells us something goofy he will say he is 'just kiddin'
- We think he is going to love being a big brother!
- He asks for Daddy every morning when he wakes up
- He loves to sing any song, but some of his favorites are Old MacDonald and Twinkle Twinkle Little Start
- He loves talking about his owies
- He is still in a crib and hasn't tried to climb out!
- He is getting more independent every day - he can put on and take off some of his pants, clear his dishes, get his own silverware, put on some of his shoes and brush his teeth (not that thoroughly)
- He has such a happy, sweet demeanor and is very compassionate
Some things that might not be that fun:
- When he is frustrated he always resorts to the phrase 'stop it' which we don't like!
- He is starting to fight naps EVERY day
- Still doesn't have much interest in the potty
- He loves to dump out his toys for NO good reason.... ugh

Easter 2014
Easter was awesome this year as Mason is getting old enough to enjoy things like Easter egg hunts and getting an Easter basket. We went with the Ball family the day before Easter to their Easter egg hunt and the kids loved that! Then on Easter morning, we did our own Easter egg hunt and had a spiritual thought about Christ. We had a yummy breakfast and spent time as a family. It was nice. After church we headed to the Wolf's for an Easter feast! Laurie also organized an awesome Easter egg hunt for the kids where each child was assigned a certain colored egg to collect. It was perfect. The whole weekend was so nice.

The Last Few Months
So life has been so fun the last few months. I say fun because we haven't done anything out of the ordinary but being a mom to Mason has been such a joy. He is at such a fun age where he is actually obeying me and is basically my little buddy/helper where ever we go. Our days are often filled with hanging out with friends, going to the park, running errands and just getting things done around the house. This may seem boring to some but it all makes me so happy. I love being a mommy and I am trying to cherish this time I have with Mason for the next couple of weeks before baby girl comes!!
