Mason 18 Months

The time is flying by and Mason is 18 months now! He loves to try and repeat what we say, climb on everything, being outside (he still eats sand), playing with electronics, playing with cars, reading books and using a ton of baby sign language.  He is still taking 2 naps a day which I am thrilled about and he loves playing with Terrill.  Here are his stats:

Heights: 35 inches (99%)
Weight: 24 lbs (50%)

Recently when I was in Utah my mom and I took Mason up to the Bountiful Temple to take some pictures.  Needless to say hardly none turned out since he is always on the move.  I am hoping to get better ones soon!

Anniversary Getaway April 4, 2013

We had the most AMAZING weekend this past weekend when Terrill and I headed to Bodega Bay for  our 4 year anniversary.  Terrill surprised me and I didn't know where we were going until we got in the car to leave.  I LOVED that.  We dropped Mason off with Grandma Wolf, and headed out of town around 7:30pm.  Our hotel was right across the street from the bay and you could see the whole bay from our window.  Terrill planned some fun things for us to do, which included going to see Fort Ross (an old Russian settlement up the coast), eating out at yummy seafood restaurants, taking a walk along the beach that had beautiful views, canoeing (but it rained so we decided not to do this), window shopping in Petaluma and just relaxing by the pool and hot tub.  It was so nice in some ways to just be alone, we were able to pack light, and not worry about Mason's schedule at all.   I mean it was just so much fun to just be together!! I think a short getaway would be so nice to do at least once a year.  We also watched the movie "The Birds", an old Alfred Hitchcock movie that was filmed in Bodega Bay.  When our trip came to an end, I was totally satisfied with how much time we had and all that we got to do, I was SO excited to see Mason.  But guess what?? He wouldn't even have anything to do with me when we went to pick him up. I guess Grandma and Grandpa's house is just too much fun. I am so glad he loves them so much and loves it there.  Don't worry, he gave me lots of kisses before he went to sleep that night :)  Thanks so much Laurie, Rudy and Ashley for watching him.  We love you guys so much! Sorry in advance for the picture overload.

Easter 2013

What a wonderful day this has been! Church was especially awesome.  The talks were great and the spirit was very strong throughout the whole meeting.  What wonderful knowledge we have that Christ lives and loves us.  We are so blessed!!  We also spent the day with the Wolf's and it was SO much fun.  We had a beautiful dinner and spent time outside taking pictures and walking around the yard.  We are just so thankful to have the gospel and wonderful family!!

On a lighter note, we had a blast setting up an easter egg hunt for Mason this morning.  It consisted of plastic eggs scattered throughout our living room with 1 M&M in each one.  Once he figured out what was inside, he was very excited to find all of them and have chocolate for breakfast!!

Park Days

There is this super awesome brand new park by our house.  We go quiet often.  There is a play group that my ward has and then when my sister comes over we usually head over there to let the kids run around.   The ground is this rubber bouncy stuff and Mason loves it cause when he runs he bounces a little, the only problem is he is still trying to figure out how to walk on it without falling every 15 feet.  It's great for all ages and all of the kids would stay there all day if they could (babies included).

Oakland Zoo

Recently, since Terrill has had work off we have been able to do some fun things.  It was kind of a rainy morning so we weren't sure if we should go, but then the rain cleared and it was sunny skies again so we headed to the Oakland Zoo.  I was able to get free passes through our library and we took Hudson with us because we thought he would love it.  By the end of the day, Mason and him were buddies.  The weather was beautiful and the whole trip was a blast! Needless to say we pooped them out...

Mason - 15 Months Old

Oh Mason.  What a fun, playful and goofy kid.  I love him to pieces and he is growing up every day!! He is now 15 months old and here is a list of some things he is doing at this age.

- Getting into anything and everything he can get his hands on
- Learning and using baby sign language - please, more, all done, milk, nap and eat
- Knows where is hair, feet and mouth are
- Loves giving mommy and daddy hugs and kisses all the time
- Love the park and running around outside
- Sleeps consistently 12 hours every night and is starting to only take one nap...(sad day)
- Loves looking at books having us read to him
- Learning to use a spoon and fork
- Has gone pee and poo on the potty (TMI), I put him on the potty every day to get him used to the idea
- Loves putting things on his head and having them fall off - it is the most hilarious thing to him

I am just so grateful he is in my life.  Just today I had an important doctor visit where I was anxious about some test results.  Just having Mason there lightened the mood and made me happy.  He has such a sweet demeanor and I am lucky to be his mom!!

Loving Sunny California

Oh how I have been loving the weather here.   Honestly,  I just love where we live.  I feel so blessed every day.  But I don't want to get so comfortable where I live that it would be really hard to adjust to moving again.  I am not saying we are moving any time soon, I just don't want to become so comfortable in one place that I can't be an adaptable person.  I am so used to moving frequently, that is all I have ever known! Anyways, we have been really enjoying the time that Terrill has had off and been spending a lot of time outside.  We found a really fun place to hike only 15 minutes from our house! It has beautiful views and wildlife.  There is something about being outside that just makes me so happy.
